Non-Hazardous Waste-to-Energy

Industrial, consumer-product and pharmaceutical EH&S managers face tough decisions regarding how to effectively manage non-hazardous waste generated from their plants while keeping within shrinking budgets. Although landfill may be a low cost and EPA-compliant disposal method, EHS professionals are forced to decide between price and the need for secure destruction with reduced liabilities.

Danox Environmental Services, Inc. understands the need for alternative, cost effective, and secure EPA compliant solutions for non-hazardous waste. Our innovative network of non-hazardous incineration/waste-to-energy/cogeneration facilities can provide complete destruction of non-hazardous waste while maintaining a cost competitive rate for disposal.

Co-generation technology:

Co-generation facilities convert non-hazardous waste to energy through high temperature incineration. Heat generated from this process boils water which powers steam generators that make electric energy used in homes and businesses.

Benefits:

  • Complete destruction through a green technology. Co-generation reduces waste volume by 90+%.
  • Alternative solution to hazardous waste incineration. Same destruction result at drastically reduced cost for non-hazardous waste.
  • Sustainable solution metrics generated through energy recovery. Per US EPA, waste-to-energy is a “clean, reliable, renewable source of energy.”
  • Ability to handle all waste consistencies including solids, liquids and sludges.
  • Premier emission technology; Modern waste-to-energy facilities meet or exceed EPA’s Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) standards.
  • Secure and compliant
  • Destruction
  • High temperature thermal process
  • Sustainable solution
  • Certificate of incineration
  • Reduced liabilities
  • Ability to process liquids, sludges and solids

Engineered Waste Derived Fuel

As the focus on sustainable results continues to grow within the corporate environment, Danox has worked hard to develop options to deliver alternative solutions for your waste disposal requirements.

We offer a technology-proven process that produces engineered waste derived fuels. This method incorporates the intrinsic values of multiple waste streams in order to create a fuel source that is used as an alternative to fossil fuels. This option, as compared to waste-to energy, landfill, or straight incineration, delivers a true green processing technology for your waste disposal.

Acceptable waste:

  • Adhesives
  • Carpet
  • Oils
  • Fiber
  • Consumer products
  • Auto fluff
  • Plastics
  • Toner
  • Banburry sludge
  • Fragrance
  • Cardboard
  • Paint
  • Industrial waste
  • Soap
  • Debris
  • Glue

Our processing facility is able to accept all types of shipping containers including:

  • Cubic yard boxes
  • Poly drums
  • Bulk liquids
  • Steel drums
  • Palletized products
  • Walking floor trailers
  • Fiber drums
  • Totes
  • Roll-off containers

Our staff of professionals, which include Certified Hazardous Material Managers (CHMMs), is ready to deliver a turnkey disposal and recycling solution for all your waste streams.

Key advantages:

  • 0% landfill – no ash residue
  • High temperature destruction
  • Reduced liabilities
  • Proven process
  • Indemnification
  • Competitive pricing
  • Brand protection
  • Recycling for fuel

Industrial Water Incineration

Challenge:

As wastewater discharge limits for metals, biological and chemical oxygen demand become lower and lower, industry manufacturing facilities are challenged with increased treatment costs in order to achieve permit levels and meet discharge standards.

Questions:

  • Is your company focused on working toward sustainable disposal solutions?
  • Are you challenged with high metals, high BOD, or high COD waste water?
  • Are you paying higher costs to go to the landfill because you have to solidify your water stream?
  • Are you paying higher costs to send your water to a pre-treatment facility prior to disposal?

Sustainable low-cost solution:

Danox Environmental Services, Inc. has the technology and capacity to incinerate your non-hazardous waste water in a waste-to-energy processing facility. Industrial waters are aspirated directly from our feed tank into the incinerator where they act as a temperature regulator.

Waste-to-energy incinerators consume a large amount of water in order to regulate processing temperatures within the burn unit. Our program allows industrial waters to be used in place of potable city water. Customers benefit from the reuse opportunity to burn their water in our co-generation facility that supports the generation of electricity.

Acceptable wastes:

  • Industrial cooling waters
  • Rinse waters
  • Process waters high in BOD
  • Process waters high in COD
  • Landfill leachate
  • Any waste water is a potential opportunity

Key advantages:

  • Waste-to-energy
  • No volume limit
  • Reduced liabilities
  • Sustainable
  • Incineration
  • No BOD limits
  • No COD limits
  • Basic stream parameters

Waste Water Treatment

Most industrial facilities utilize water throughout their day-to-day production and cleaning processes.  For years federal and state regulatory agencies have focused on improving water quality by heavily regulating sites that generate industrial wastewater.  Because of restricting permits and heavier regulation, more and more companies are looking for alternative, off-site management options for their waste.

Danox provides comprehensive hazardous and non-hazardous wastewater management solutions that are environmentally safe and cost effective. Partner facilities within our network accept and treat wastewater delivered by tanker trucks, containers and rail car.

Treatment technologies include:

  • Physical, chemical, biological treatment
  • Oil-water separation
  • Reverse osmosis
  • Anaerobic digestion
  • Aerobic treatment
  • De-nitrification
  • Filter press

Solidification Stabilization

Solidification stabilization is one of the oldest and widely used EPA approved methods of treatment for hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Depending on specific stream characteristics, various technologies can be used to ensure that streams treated are considered solid (meet paper filter test) and do not leach harmful components into the environment.

Hazardous waste treatment:

  • Innovative treatment technologies have been developed that allow cost effective treatment for inorganic, specific and non-specific sources. In fact many streams can be treated and delisted converting hazardous waste to non-hazardous waste residuals.

Non-hazardous waste treatment:

  • Blending of bulk or containerized liquid, sludge and solid waste is generally completed through use of a mechanical devise and solidification materials such as quarry by-products or sawdust. Processing and testing ensures that delivered waste streams meet all EPA guidelines related to non-hazardous landfill.

Solidification stabilization benefits include:

  • Low cost option for many types of waste
  • Large network of sites across the United States and Canada
  • Capable of processing large volumes of waste
  • Secure EPA compliant solution
  • Efficient management option for hard to handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste
